I put down my deposit back in December to go for this dance intensive in Luxor that Kay Taylor/Farida Dance has organized. Anyone else here on bhuz going to this???

The Farha Festival

I think there might still be spaces left if anyone is interested :-) . . . it is a very small group which suits me fine AND it gives participants a chance to work with musicians (of the live variety and not recorded). I am hoping to work up my nerve to perform with the musicians . . . personal challenge.

As with anything else taking place in Egypt these days, the organizers are keeping a close watch on the situation in case anything happens but Luxor has had less problems than Cairo (and Cairo's problems have been mainly isolated to downtown/Tahrir Square).

I have wanted to go back to Luxor for awhile so this suits me fine this year . . . and I will be passing through Cairo so will stop over. If anyone is around near the end of May, let me know :-) . . . also hoping to go up to Istanbul for a few days, whew!!!
