Thread: Seattle Events the 19th or 20th?

Hi everybody, I'm here in Seattle to visit a friend, as a spur of the moment thing, I was just wondering if there were any dance shows or haflas the two of us could go to this weekend-thanks!

It is a ways from Seattle, but a few of us that live out in Monroe, which is about an hour northeast of Seattle are hosting a hafla on Saturday night. It is the first one we have put on out here and we are hoping it will be successful enough to host every few months. It is at the Oddfellows Hall at 601 Lewis St, Monroe, WA. Open dance from 6-7; then from 7-9 is the time performance time. Performance is not pre-arranged, if you want to dance, just show up with costume and music and if there is room on the schedule, you can dance.

It is a potluck, so there will be snack foods I imagine and we will have some vendors and we are having a raffle. It is $5 to attend. If that is not too far, we hope to see you there!

Wow, the Seattle scene seems really active compared to the Denver area! I am so sad that I did not bring a costume, I could be dancing tonight! I will be back in May-definitely will be prepared then. Thanks for all the choices,m

I'm from Seattle but haven't lived there in some time and haven't ever danced there. I am so happy there's so much going on. Next time i'm there i'll have to check out the scene.
