Thread: Yousry in DC this weekend

Hi Everyone!
I will be going down to DC this weekend for the Sharif(s) workshops sponsored by Sahara Dance. Will any fellow Bhuzers be there? Anyone know if there will be any vendors selling goodies?

I don't think there will be vendors. I was going to go, but I'm swamped with CEU classes. Have fun, and tell us all how it is!

I was thinking of going, but did 2 days of wonderful workshops with Mohamed Shahin last weekend, and my brain is full! ..c::

Yousry has grown into such an accomplished teacher. I still remember when he was newly-arrived, hanging around and observing Bobby Farrah's workshops. And wow, seeing him perform tahtib.... he was like a panther on the stage. :tongue:

Be sure to let us know how the workshops were!

Sure do! but I cant get enough. There will be few girls there from NYC.

Didn't see this post until today and I can't really tell what you look like from your pic so I don't know if you were there or not. If you were, did you enjoy it? I just love Yousry's style.
On another note we went to see a bellydancer in Georgetown at a place called Mia. I wouldn't recommend going there, the service was super slow and I think it was the dancer's first time performing.
I may go back to DC in December.

No I wasn't in DC. I come to his classes in NYC on either Wed or Thursday.
Are you going to the saidii workshop on Sunday?

If you come to his classes then we must of seen each other before. I go Wed, Thurs, and Fri. I want to go to the saidi workshop but I don't think I will have the money. We shall see.:Awink:

Leena, I'm sorry I missed you this weekend in DC and Yousry's class! I was able to attend the last couple of years he was here, but had other commitments this time around. I KNOW it was a great class! Man, when you start sweating after 10 minutes I love that. He really pushes you to higher levels and I have truly appreciated the opportunity to study with him. I've learned so much. Next time, I don't want to miss it!
Oh, I'd love Zaza to come back too. He's amazing!

Hi Shadiyah!!! I was hoping to see you! I've never studied with Zaza so I hope he comes again. This weekend was soo good.
