costumes
hi, i was recommended to this site by my sister who is a bellydancer. I don't do bellydance but i have started to make the costumes which i really enjoy. I would like to get some feedback on how you like your costumes made because i am very new to it all.

Re: costumes
hi Naleta, welcome on bhuz! Making costumes is a lot of fun and there are a lot of dancers on bhuz who create beautiful costumes.
What aspect of costuming do you want to know more about? What are you currently working on? Check out the 'what are you working on?' thread to see what other bhuzzers are making.

Re: costumes
hi, i have just made my first one for my sister. what i wanted to know was, when making the skirts, some skirts have 3 half circles but looking at some of the designer costumes they don't look like they use 3 half circles. Are there other ways to making the skirt?

Re: costumes
There are lots of different skirt styles from the full on circle skirt to the sleek lycra (my favourite type). If you do a search on the forum, especially in the Beauty and Costuming forum, you will find enough info to keep you hooked for weeks :) Happy browsing!

Re: costumes
Making customes can be so much fun. There are a few books available about costuming and I would suggest looking at lots of pictures and if you can go to an event that has lots of vendors to look at professionally made costumes in person.
