Hello everyone,
I'm Debra and it's so nice to meet you all. (Or I will eventually). I'm 44 years old and have been dancing for 4 years.

Before I started belly dance I did some clog dancing. I had not danced in years and years and honestly it felt like coming home. I will never not dance again.

I have performed a few times in public, a solo or two at Shimmyathon in Atlanta and with student troupes. I was in GRITS Raq for about a year before I had to quit due to some health issues.

I've changed my focus from American Cab to Tribal folkloric for now. I think as a larger woman, the bigger moves suit me better (just my opinion about myself. if you are a larger woman and do Egyptian/American Cab and are happy then Yay. I was not happy) and I'm having a lot fun now. Which is important to me now.

I'm in no way a professional or semi-professional dancer. I am a student and will be for a long time I'm sure.
