Hello, From Monterey, Ca!
Hello,
I am Ruby. I am new to Bhuz though I have peeked about for a while. I have been dancing about 2 1/2 years now mostly with Jamaica Sinclair and troupe Diva here in monterey..though I have done workshops with other instructors.
I Have hopes of Designing costumes and more some day and Being a belly Dance instructor.... though I know I have MANY years of training to go before I will be solidly Confidant in my skills and my knowledge of the dance the music and the cultures they come from ..I can't see myself doing anything else with my life and it is a truly serious passion...
I hope to learn more here and meet new friends along the way!

Hello Ruby! I danced under Jamaica's tutelage for several years, and performed with Troupe Diva many times. I haven't been dancing much in Monterey in the last year or so as performance venues have somewhat dried up, but still come over from time-to-time. I'm dancing mostly in Santa Cruz right now. Say "Hi" to Jamaica for me, she's tops!

i remember jamaca...she took the first work shop i taught in santa cruz 4 years ago. heading back for 20th and 21st , next week end.

I am envious of you being in Monterey, it is such a beautiful place!! I got married there 23 years ago then went back for our 15th anniversary. Maybe some time we will visit again.
