Thread: Just moved to Belgium from Los Angeles

Hi! I've just moved to Hasselt and I'd love to meet other dancers in the area.

I've been doing tribal for 10 years and cabaret for about 2 years. I just started taking classes from Ietara at Ritmo Studios here.

I'm also interested in finding out about local events. I know the International Raqs Congress is coming up next month but I'll be in L.A. for a wedding that weekend!

Liesbeth, thanks for the info, but unfortunately I'm working all that weekend.

Artemisia, nice to meet you--I'd already heard about you from a friend who told me that her aunt used to be a student of yours. I'd love to take a class or workshop with you. Unfortunately, I'm leaving for L.A. on March 4 so I'll miss all the workshops before the Congress. But I'm living here now so I'm sure we'll meet at some point!

Eshta--I miss you too! Hope to see you next month when I'm in town :)

nice to meet you too. are you learning dutch yet? my english speaking boyfriend has been here for 6 years now and still hasnt! everbody speaks english so there's so little need... are you working or studying here?

hi Inara, welcome to belgium! I live in the Netherlands, about two hours traveling north from Hasselt. I can highly recommend the events organised by Artemisia. I won't be able to make it to the Raqs Congress, but we will probably meet during a future event.

Welcome to Belgium!!! I live in Germany now but I grew up in waffle-land :)
I work with Artemisia often so you'll probably meet me at some of her events ;)

And if you're interested: This summer we are organizing 2 RAKS Summerschools (4-day Intensives) together with Razia in Leuven, BE: one in July and one in August.
