Thread: Hey, I'm Bethany from Idaho Falls!

So one of my fellow bd enthusiasts turned me onto this site and now I'm an addict!
Like I said my name is Bethany, (undecided on a stage name as of yet) and I've been living in Idaho Falls with my hubby and son for alomost a year now. We moved here from San Diego, Ca. I've been dancing for almost six years now and just started teaching my own beginner class about 9 months ago at Habibi Bellydance studio, owned by Yahaira. I guess you can look at my profile to learn more about me though I am still working on my profile, having a hard time getting pix on for some reason.
BTW if you are a bellydancer in Idaho or Utah I would love to be bhuz friends and be informed on upcoming events!

I am new to this site, but have been dancing about 5 yrs now. You won't believe this, but I was born in Idaho Falls!!! I haven't lived there since I was 2, but thought I'd say hello.

Ha! What a coincidence you are from IF! It being so small and all. And in case you are wondering about the bellydance scene here, it is almost non-existent. There are only about 10 serious dancers here. At least that makes us one of a kind :)

Ten dancers is better than no dancers, that's for sure!

I live in a small city in central FL & I would say that our instructor has only about the same number of serious dancers as you have. We sure have a great time though!

Small world--I'm in Boise and grew up in San Diego!

If you're willing do a short road trip, we've got quite a few things planned this year. The first coming up is a drumming/dancing workshop with Michael Beach of Brothers of the Baladi. That same night the band will be performing and several area dancers will be dancing. Looking forward to it--should be fun!

There's also a great workshop coming up with Aradia. You can find the info at Mearah.com under Events.

BoiseShan- Small world is right! Do you miss San Diego as much as I do, which is a ton!
We do know about the workshop with Aradia coming up and would love to go but we are opting to to go thia's Springfest in SLC cuz it will be cheaper and its closer. :)
But I'm sure we will make it out there for another event. It's great to meet a (somewhat) local dancer!

I really do miss SD. I haven't lived there in over 20 years, but I still consider myself a California girl!
