Thread: Shara here, with Bellydance Soulfire!

Hey Bhuzzers!

So I'm finally on Bhuz and thought I'd formally introduce myself :)

I'm Shara and I dance full-time and professionally with the amazing gals of Bellydance Soulfire: Sedona, Claudia, Ruby and Karolina!

You might know us from the new "Power and Passion" performance DVD that just released. Or from Bellydance Nationals. You should know Ruby from Flawless Floorwork DVD, and will soon see me and Sedona on the next Combination Nation 3!

Do you dance with Malawi by chance? If so, she might be bringing me down in 2011! You are gonna *love* Sedona :)

No, but Malawi's group is helping us with the workshop this year. Her group will also have a few performances in our summer show. We're really excited about Sedona and if you come down next year, I'd love to meet you and take your classes!

YES! I presented the concept to Mile Copeland at the 2004 Bellydance Superstar auditions, and samba fusion was featured in their 2005 show tour.

I also create my own music, because true fusion Arabic and Brazilian rhythms/music is not out there (at least to my liking, with the exception of a very few).

I was asked to perform a Samba and Bellydance fusion piece on the newly released "Bellydance Power and Passion" DVD (Jan 2010). You should check it out:

Starting this Fall, we will all be ready to travel! If you know of anyone that would want to host some or all of Bellydance Soulfire for a workshop weekend, send me a pm!

He He - this makes me laugh, I have a funny picture of Shara, Claudia, Ruby and I kidnapping Karolina in the night, stuffing her in the trunk and bringing her up to Portland. ..l;,

Karolina is our new apprentice at the moment, she is working with us on a few exciting upcoming projects.

Maybe one day she will move to P-town but for now she is just coming up for short bursts during the summer. We would love to have her permanently

She is our Soulfire Lil Sis For Sure!!

We are having a show in Portland May 8th! Don't know where you are traveling to but it would be awesome to meet you!!!

Oh shoot :( I'll be in the US later than that..

I'll be arriving in Seattle on 21st of May, and staying there for about a week. Elisa Gamal is hosting me to perform with HOT on Friday and teach 2 workshops at Delilahs studio on Saturday, whoop!

Sunday and beginning of the week after are still free though, and I heard Portland is only a hop away :) I already FB'd with Claudia and Sedona earlier, would be awesome if we could meet up!!! You ladies rock!

On the 27th (Thursday) I'll be heading to SF for the BDOTY comp then (eep!) and after that: Back home!
