Hello everyone!

I'm so excited that I'm now a part of this forum! :-)

My name is Shireen and I've been belly dancing for about a year now studying tribal fusion.

I started performing in Winter 2009 and performed at casual local events.
Had my first solo performance at the Raqs LA open stage! (I performed under the name Shira but changed my performer name to Shoo Shoo since another dancer had also used the name).

What originally started as a curiosity has bloomed into something that I want to do forever! One of the true beauties of belly dance is that it's for anyone at just about any age!

Costumes and belly dance fashion is half the fun and I'm just glad that I can share my interest and passion for this dance with everyone here! Nice to meet you all! Happy shimmying! :)

I haven't really observed too many dancers, though, I would have to say my favorite is Zoe Jakes. Love, love, love her moves and style.

me too! if you like zoe jakes, then you would probably really like rachel brice and mardi love. all three of them are in a troupe called the indigo. i also really like moria chappell and sharon kihara.
