Thread: Hallo from South Africa!

Hi.

I'm new in Belly dancing. I've started in January with my 10 year old daughter Jade and I must say it is the best thing I've ever done for myself and for my relationship with Jade. Love every min of it. Hope to learn a lot from you girls, there is so much to learn.

Please feel free to tell me if I ask stupid questions (I am a newbie ..l;, ) , but I'm going to ask so please help where you can. Here in South Africa there is not a lot of shops ect that can help us with costumes and so on, so we try and make our own. Which can be tricky if you know nothing about needle work. But I'll learn.

hello and welcome! where are you in south africa? i taught at a festival in cape town a few years ago! the students were so nice! and the surroundings beautifull!

I'm in Benoni Gauteng. Nice to see there is some other South Africans here. Do you make or buy your outfits?? Will definately push on your button for info. We will be dancing at the Wheels Show in Benoni in a few weeks time and are all looking for or making outfits. .w.: Will need all the help I can get.

I make all my costumes - I'm a big do-it-yourselfer (I even made my Isis Wings .w.: ) but sometimes you need something special ..g.: so I'd be happy to help with the contacts in your area! Best of luck for the show - you'll have a great time!!
