Thread: New & learning about costuming

Hello all! I am a fiber artist and long-time drummer & dancer who has gotten interested in seriously costuming in the Nashville area. I'm looking for info on where to find the materials to make costumes, as well as techniques and ideas for designs, etc. I have been sewing and beading for a long time, and have made my own costumes, but I'm looking to possibly do a lot more with it. Have always loved the idea of doing costumes for skaters, ballroom dancers, and other performers, and a friend who needed a costume worked on inspired me to look into it some more.

Any suggestions for resources would be most welcome! I'll look thru the forums for costuming threads.
