Hello all! I'm very new to belly dance. I have only been taking classes for a month and a half so far but starting next month I'll be taking two classes a week ( with Kiara and Nona of Jeweled Scarab Dance Company). I'm so excited! I'm absolutely, obsessesively, in L-O-V-E with belly dance! It's something I've been wanting to do since my teens but only now, at 33, have put aside my fears and taken the plunge. I only wish I had done it sooner. While I have no dillusions about becoming a belly dance superstar, I do hope that the future holds some time for me as an accomplished dancer in some way. I worry that I've started too late though- not that it's going to stop me! Any advice from other dancer's who've not been doing it since their teens or early twentys would be most welcome. Aww heck, advice from any dancer is more than welcome! I love this stuff!
