Hi y'all I am perspephone (sorta thats my dance name)

I've been dancing a little more than a year and I am TOTALLY addicted to belly dance now! I decided to try belly dancing as a way to "feel like a girl" - after a bout with breast cancer (and loosing some boobage lol) followed by uterine cancer (and loosing my girly parts) I was feeling shall we say, less than feminine.

Belly dance has provided my a way to remind myself just how sexy I am (even if I am 20 pounds over weight lol due to all the surgeries lol)

I am the co-founder (very very new) of the Troupe "Twinky's with Filling" along with my sister from a past life Nazirah. We creating our troupe just because we love to dance (even if we aren't that good yet lol)

My first instructor turned out to be a fraud but I am blessed to have found 3 new instructors all in the same place with a combined experience of about 50 years!! So I am in the process of unlearning bad technique and bad memories with good technique and wonderful new memories and wonderful new friends and sisters!!!!


I am a Certified Personal Trainer and a Nutrition and Wellness counselor as well as the wife to the most amazing man in the universe and the mother of 3 - mostly -wonderful boys (16, 14, and almost 10)

I am so glad that I found this site and I am looking forward to many happy conversations.
