Thread: dance friend please?:)

Hi everyone! I am new to this and recently picked up belly dance again ...university (this is my sesond time in it) has mostly kept me from getting better...but now I am determined! ;)
I hope this doesn't seem too pathetic ;P but I am really hoping to meet some nice girls/women to chat with about bd, our experiences, improvement, costume making, favorite dancers etc. Since I recently moved to live with my bf in Hannover, Germany I haven't really found anybody to practice with. But Im comfortable with internet activity too- that's why Im here! I think the belly dance community is such a strong loving one, i really love how all these lovely women are so supportive of eachother.
So- Im really looking forward to meeting some of you!

how are you liking Hannover? i used to live there, when i was younger (didn't dance yet though, so can't help on that..). but googling "Bachtanz Hannover" gives me a couple interesting-looking results, so i'm sure you'll find something ;)

how good is your German? "Lehrerin" means teacher, so if you're looking for classes, those should be able to help you :)

@Kathyia: I like Hannover quite well! We live close to the town woods "Eilenriede" so it's nice to have a little nature in addition to all the cultural possibilities. I speak german since childhood, but thank you for being so helpful. I have actually been to one class (it was tribal though)- unfortunatly i was the only beginner and somhow the group chemistry wasn't perfect ...maybe i wasn't in it long enough..
Since I am a little short on money right now I am enjoying instructional DVDs and was hoping for a private meet-up with a budding belly dancer (especially since I feel once a week is not really enough for practice). I'll keep looking. Thanks again for the help, really sweet!
