Hello All:)
I live out in the boonies of eastern Kentucky. I am a newbie dancer, me, my tv and some DVD's for the past year. There are no classes anywhere close to here, and the few people I've told about my belly dancing, well, the locals just look at me funny, tilt their heads and go "hhuuuhhhh?" (I am a transplant to the area here)
I would love to have someone to talk to that loves belly dancing as much as I do, and I thinnnnk there just might be someone like that here! I have sooo many questions, and it doesn't help that where I live, there is no DSL internet, no cable, just dial-up or satellite, and who can afford that??
I look forward to hearing from all of you!!
Have a wonderful fabulous fantastic shimmy day!
Sandra

Re: Howdy from Kentucky
There absolutely are BD classes close to you! I believe Nashwa of Egypt is still teaching in Berea College and may be U of K in Lexington (or was it Richmond? I moved away several years ago so I don't remember). You don't have to be a college student to take her class, at least you didn't have to be one when I started several years back. She is an amazing teacher and a lovely person, too! Her web site is Dance Like An Egyptian - Bio.

Re: Howdy from Kentucky
Thanks for the link to the website:) I do know of several places in LEX, but unfortunately Lex, Richmond and Berea are too far for me right now, hour+ one way, so with the price of classes and gas.........well, :(:(:(:( I am hoping to find someone else close to Stanton that dances as well. I will def keep the info in mind if things change!
Thanks again, I appreciate any information I can get!!
