My mother is a bellydancer (original title "Seelai ng yi cho"), directed by Lee Kung-Lok (Hong Kong, 2006), is a quality movie about four women, dealing with daily problems, disrespectful husbands, unemployment and children, who find belly dance as an escape from their real lifes full of worries. This highly recommended movie shows what belly dance is really about: a way of (re)discovering respect and love for yourself, regardless of the disapproval and the mentality of the community, within a very conservative society.
A "must have" for bellydancers who like to reflect on belly dance.

Wow this looks good, it shows the struggle of women in a society and the desperate need for self expression and the finding of sisterhood in the process. I would like to see this where can I get a copy? Is this out in theaters or can I rent it, do you know?

    Hi, Minerva!
I bought it on EBay, from a seller in Thailand...
