I'm so excited about the Elena Lentini workshop this weekend that I can hardly stand still. I'm not dancing this time, so I'll have a chance to relax and actually enjoy the show. Baby is making me feel fat and grumpy, but I'm studying from one of my heroes (!!!) so that makes up for bloat and backache :)
So I have not (yet) broken a tray practicing our candle dance for the Ansuya workshop (although I still have a good 10 days to do so!) I'm considering that to be a sign that either,
1. I'm getting better at this
2. I'm not working hard enough
I like not being the choreographer for a change. Just adding staging comments and suggestions about what to do with eyes and arms is enough to keep me interested creatively. This is going to be a beautiful piece
... the beautiful "Amar 14" album.
So it's 2011 and I guess it's time to start participating in Suhaila's Level 3 classes.
Kiss the ego good bye for a while.
I had a dream the other night that Ruby and Leila moved to the southern parts of Indiana. I woke up SO excited to start classes with them both, but quickly realized it was just a dream. Sigh. So I told Ruby I was going to finally finish her Na'asa choreography and SOMEDAY get the darn thing on video for her to see. In the meanwhile, I am considering sending both of them the listings for really nice houses in my neighborhood. :)
