Music editing software?
I need suggestions on an easy program I can learn to do simple music editing. Like, just ending a song in the middle. I have a pc. And learning new programs makes my head hurt. ..cr.:

This has been discussed quite a few times in the past; you can find lots of info in the technical forum, I believe. My personal favorite is Audacity - I find it easy to use, and it's free.

I use Magix. Easy to use not sure if you can find it free on the web.

Re: Music editing software?
I use Screenblast Sound Forge. It costs about $70, and is the consumer version of Sound Forge. Sold by Sony, I think.
I also have Adobe Audible (used to be called Cool Edit), but I find it much harder to use than Sound Forge. It's designed for professional sound engineers who are taking multiple tracks that were laid down in a sound studio and consolidating them. Good functionality if you need it, but adds hard-to-learn complexity if you don't need it (which I don't).

Re: Music editing software?
I have Audacity and I can't even get it to play the song I want to edit let alone actually start editing it.
I really like Adobe Audition, you can download a 30-day free trial from the Adobe website and see how you like it.

Re: Music editing software?
We use Audacity too.. or I should say that hubby does while I look over his shoulder and tell him exactly what I want the songs to sound like.

NCH Swift Sound Software Home Page - wavepad editor, is free very easy to use I have been using that for a couple of years, the switch program is also good, and Express burn is also good.

Sound Forge. It's fairly easy to use.

I use Goldwave
It has a free trial version with 3000 clicks/actions, still using it after 3 years

Re: Music editing software?
Thanks for all the suggestions ladies! And I will go find the old threads too (I try to avoid all "technical" talk, so I must have missed those!)
