promotional dvds
hey ladies,
yesterday in the post i received a promotional dvd from two dancers i do not know, asking if i could book them for workshops/performing, and if i'm not
interested, to send their dvd back to them?
euh?
it arrived in a damaged case, and i dont feel like running to the post office to send it back to them, as i never asked for it in the first place..!

Unsolicited goods..I'm sure Euro law is the same as UK.
If they want it they should include SAE/packing, otherwise....... tough.......

yeah; law is the same here, i'm not worried about that. anything you send me unsollicited i can keep and not pay for it! ha! i got some funky pens and my ex-flatmate even got an expensive tefal pan that way!
i meant more, how strange that they expect you'd actually do this, send it back...

Were they any good?
A business address will get all sorts of unsolicited advertisements in the mail or even on their doorstep but to ask to send the dvd back if you're not interested when you didn't ask for it in the first place is just Weird.
All I can say is that either they are 'cold calling' everyone and it probably won't get them very far or perhaps you are, or your are perceived by them to be, a major player in your community.
So you could take it as a compliment... ? If a puzzling one

I don't think sending a promo pack to other dancers is very effective. First of all, if YOU want to book someone for a workshop, you'll contact them. On the other hand, if they want to be well known in the bellydance community, they could work on their reputation and hope that it will get them hired somewhere. I would not send it back if they didn't include an enevlope with stamps.
They're not Dutch, are they?

I've been getting more emails lately about people wanting to come to Japan. The $$$ will just roll in for Pammy Smith from Denver-more than enough to cover your flight, hotel and accomodations!
