Thread: Names names names--help me pick a last name!

This is a spinoff from the relocating and dance names thread. I'll come out of the closet--Stardancer posted that on my behalf. I just relocated and there is another dancer in this area named Azura (though I spell it with two As --Aazura). Just so there's no confusion or bad feelings, I've decided to take on a "last name." I've toyed with this idea before, so it kinda feels that the time is right now.

Here are some choices--help me pick one!!

Aazura Nour

Aazura Zahar

Aazura Rashad

Aazura al Amar

I'm kinda partial to Aazura Nour, but am also open to opinions and suggestions. What say ye, wise bhuzzers?

gee, I like 'em all! I think I'm partial to Aazura Zahar, but they all work.

Aazura Nour.

Love the symbolism of "Nour," (light), and it's exotic, yet simple enough to not leave clients completely tongue-tied. Also, saying AaZURa NOUR just feels good.

My artistic $0.02, anyway.

Blue Light Special. Yeeeeeee-hawwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!

All Wal-Mart connotations aside, I love the way the name sounds.

Ironically, Azzura was one of the names I toyed with when I first graduated from college and came back to CT, but then I found out about you and didn't want to step on your toes.

So I chose Maiya, which I now hate. ..l;,

Guess we're both in the process of re-naming and re-inventing. Feels good, doesn't it?

I love Aazura Zahar--the repetitive sounds always work for me!

Aazura Nour is also really nice.

I thought Nour meant dark?

I love the meaning of Aazura Nour, but I have to say that Aazura Zahar has a nice flow, and has a nearly the same meaning. (Zahar means "morning light" or "dawn"), which is also lovely, so I quess my vote would be for Zahar!

I really like Aazura Nour!

I'll admit...said outloud, Aazura Zahar sounds a little "buzzy" to me--a lot of ahs, zs, and rs too close together, I don't think it'll sound that great, say, said into a microphone over a less than ideal sound system at some kind of event. ;-)

Nour! My tongue gets a little tied with Zahar at the end. Nour is much more streamlined.
