Thread: what's on your business card?

besides your pic, name and contact info, what do you have on your card? if you're willing to share? I need to get my own cards together SOON and I plan to put some text on the back, overlaying a screened-back photo. I need some inspiration and ideas for something concise, complete and snappy! thanks in advance!

My business card is for my studio, the other is for my troupe, so not sure that will help? Troupe has our logo on one side, on the other is our name, website, email address, phone number, and a short bullet point list of what we do "eg. parties, corporate events, weddings" etc.

I think of a business card as a way to get people to the website, rather than give them any really detailed information. The website url takes up a LOT of space on the card. Hint hint. :)

Besides the contact info, I added a pronunciation guide, after reading that people are less likely to call you if they are afraid they will mispronounce your name.

I kept it simple and just put my name, below it is Middle Eastern Dancer. Then I put my phone #, email address and website. Speaking of, I really need to get to work on that website, it's terrible!

I like having one side of the business card blank so you can write pertinent info on it if you need to.

Mine has my picture on one side. On the other side is my name and contact info plus my motto "Elegant Egyptian Style" and "Dancer, Coach, Instructor"

I have the contact info, with the phrase "Member MECDA", and photographer credit on the back.

awards listing & specialty acts on the other

some versions say "no bachelor parties please" at the end of the specialty acts info. that helps keep away the creepy inquiries.

Mine have the troupe name & logo on the front, my name as artistic director, our phone number, website, and "performance, choreography, instruction" because that's what we do. Each individual dancer gets her name and email address (those are all done through our web server) printed on the back of the cards.

Aside from the obvious, I have my logo and "Professtional Middle Eastern Dance for all Occassions" on it.
That sums up everything without having to list all the venues entertainment can be provided for! ;-)

per the various ideas above, I'm going to keep a good amount of blank space for writing on them if I want to (which is perfect, as I don't like to put my cell number on my cards), and keeping the text very short and sweet (Leyla, I hope you don't mind me copying your 'dancer, coach, instructor' part). :)

Thanks for checking, but I don't mind. I chose generic terms because even though they aren't terribly original or "snappy", they convey exactly what I do. ..l;,
