Wow, it is nice, but I am surprised that you just find this out without any warning/permission/request etc.

How do you find out about these??? I feel like people could be using my image left and right and I'd have no clue!

sometimes I come across them - but usually someone writes me.

I can't say that I blame them...you are HOT!!!

have you written the artist - or managed to obtain info from the cover?
I'd write asking for compensation for use of your image (ESPECIALLY because permission was not asked - cause if they had, you would prob have said yes, but negotiatiated a fee. Correct?)

Can you identify source of the photo ? Did they steal it from your web ?

i'm assuming the release is in turkey and not the us? are releases and copyrights as stringent 'over there' as they are here? i'm guessing not...........which sucks cuz it WOULD be nice to get paid for your image.........

A free consultation with a lawyer might be a good idea - he/she could write a "cease and desist" and/or "pay me" letter. I'd be pissed if someone was making money off my image without my permission and then not paying me for it.

I would follow it up, if it's your image, and you havn't signed a release to a publisher or the photographer then they should be paying you for it.

For Turkish produced products it is practically impossible.
I went through it once. A different person produced 6 cd and used my photography galleries for all their artwork. it was a significant number that I felt I wanted to chase them down. A lawyer told me I have little chance and very little legal recourse. the only place I could really get action is to stop the item from being sold in the US. When I called them, they claimed to not speak English. Then I had someone who spoke Turkish call them and they did a big dodge and weave. The next cd that I saw the producer put out did not steal my photographs. But I dont think they care, I am sure they would steal more if they felt like it.

sigh... no money AND NO PHOTO CREDIT! sheesh!
all I get is a clarinet in my.... so typical.
