Website copy for pro dancer listings - need advice
So, a while ago I put together a little website for our local bellydance community: Madison Bellydance Alliance.
Because I sometimes get emails from somebody who wants to hire a dancer, we decided to create an "ad page" so the local pros can pay a fee per year to post their picture, contact info, and the types of gigs they take. I agreed to put some text at the top saying "what you should expect when you hire a dancer" WITHOUT talking about show length, price, et cetera, because the hirer should negotiate with the dancer for that.
Well, this is all I could come up with:
Interested in hiring a dancer for your next birthday party, anniversary celebration, bridal shower, or corporate event? A professional bellydancer sparks enthusiasm and energy at a gathering! The dancer provides glitz and glamour within a family-friendly atmosphere.
When you contact a dancer, discuss the length of performance you have in mind. The dancer will talk with you about the space and sound requirements for the performance.
What do you think? Am I missing anything important? Would be glad to have your opinions.Last edited by tigerb; 04-30-2008 at 01:35 PM. Reason: typos
