    Insurance for Casual Haflas?

Do you need to worry about insurace coverage for a casual hafla? For instance, my family owns a scrapbook store, and it has a fabulous back room that sometimes we hold scrap haflas in. Scrap all day, Dance all night ..g.: Our company has general insurance but do I need to worry about different coverage when we host an event like this? Make dancers sign waivers? Any help or suggestions would be great.

Jeez what is this, I thought we danced at your own risk? Isn't it personal responsibility if someone gets out of control and starts some weird tornado dance, falls off the stage after an uncontrollable spin or eats food that makes them sick?

Or maybe a rouge wardrobe falls on them.

I don't know about haflas. I guess youwould have to call up the bookstores insurance holder and see if casual get togethers poses a problem in the current coverage.

I'm not an expert, but it is my understanding that if the hafla is run as activity of the business, then the general insurance of the company should cover it. Especially if it is the same building. I think you would need a "rider" if you were to take the hafla out of the space and rent a studio or theater.
