Current & professional photographs are essential to effective promotions, flyers, websites, business cards, press kits, and personal correspondence.

troupe stuff might be a difficult thing to manage for a day-long event like this, but we're still tossing the idea around and considering logistics. Failing that, I do offer both individual and troupe shoots independently of Raq the Camera Day!

Besides, one's technique is never too unrefined for pretty pictures. :D

I'm planning a similar type of event in the Boston area for the fall -- I guess great minds think alike, huh?? ..g.: I'll be bringing out Michael Baxter from the Bay Area. Lilah, I'd love to pick your mind a bit about how you coordinated some of your details -- I'm having a hard time finding a photo studio to rent at an affordable price!

Michael Baxter? WOW! I love the man's work. :D Congrats about that!

As for coordination... finding the place to do it is going to be THE biggest challenge, as obviously getting a location factors into the price you need to make the shoot in order to make it worth everyone's while. you've got even more of a challenge because michael will be coming such a distance... If Azhia and I take our little show on the road to towns with which we're not intimately familiar, I anticipate that we'll run into similar problems...

Yeah, let me tell ya, it ain't easy! I really want to find a studio location that's affordable to keep all the costs down -- it's becoming a real challenge. Your shoot is a VERY reasonable price ... I know I'm going to have to charge more to break even...

That'll happen but I'm sure that for the convenience of having Michael in their backyard more or less, a lot of dancers would be willing to save their pennies...
