Thread: sponsors/etc how do you advertise your workshops?

How do you get word out about workshops?

Or ..dancers..how do you find out about them? Does your area have a central website with the info?

do you look up events via bhuz?

or word of mouth?

As a sponsor...I post announcements all over the place, send flyers to all the local teachers, have a website for additonal online exposure, and purchase advertising.

you do a great job too because i heard about this even way over here in hawaii :)

We promote ours on our local info site, pass out flyers at classes and other events around town, post to tribe, and email our nearly 1,500 subscribers.

Let's see what did I do:

Printed fliers at local events

Myspace/Tribe/Bhuz/Live Journal

email local teachers

local newspaper/newspaper websites

yahoo and google webpages

bellydance meetup groups

craigslist

I have been passing flyers out at other events that I participate at. That seems to be working great along with my event posted on here and our talking about in the threads.
I hadn't thought of Craig's List...hmmmm I will have to look at that

AWESOME! It helped that I advertised in the Hawaii magazine, I hope.
