I received an e-mail from Michelle of this site, saying she found my info on orientaldancer.net and that she was looking for belly dancers in all the states interested in booking weddings, parties, etc.

Have any of you had any contact with this organization? What's the word?

Nope -- maybe this company is just beginning to expand. I did go to the website and it looks simply like a booking agent for all types of acts (good bad and ugly -- it looks like there is one act billed as "ditzy girl brings a member of a white supremist group to a diversity party". Yuck.

However, booking agents book all kinds of acts. There were bellydancers listed: a Leyla of New Mexico and a Selayma, maybe from the Denver area? Probably others, those were the first two I saw.

Anybody know anything?

i got it too but haven't checked it out yet. read the fine print looking for a free "trial period" when you sign up. that's my plan...to read it very very carefully before signing up, and if they ask me for any kind of credit card or something, i will not be doing it. let us know what you think when you get in there.

Got it, with a message saying they were looking for dancers in San Francisco. Felt spammy, but checked out their site and recognized some folks.

I got it and made a basic profile but found the site very cumbersome and not user friendly. Never asked me for a credit card when I made the profile.

I got that email too. But the website was very empty. I didn't know if it was for real or just a way to get info (spam).
