Thread: All of a sudden.....

Buisness is GREAT!!!! I cant believe it, My weekly classes are still small, but I have lessons on...

Monday-double private, private, and regular class
Tuesday- private
Wednessday -Class
thursday private

Every other sunday a prfeormace

and.....I just got a class gig at the USO (WHOOPPPP) on wednessday evenings.

I feel a little bad for being so sulky a few weeks back but Im so happy now!!!!

I have a question though, the USO classes are going to be 4 weeks long how would you all structure them? I know that after the first 4 classes ill have both new and old students. I have never taught in 4 week sessions always like 8 or more....Help....

as for structuring 4 week sessions.. it's hard if your total beginners have to 'share' with the people that already had 4 weeeks of classes. Make a lesson plan in advance, centering around different groups of moves.
for example covering percussive hipmoves in the first four classes together with some basic drills for upper body moves. Then in the next four classes, focus on upper body moves and add basic drills for hipwork.

What is your goal for these classes? Do you want to teach basic belly dance moves, infuse some history too, maybe do a short choreo?
