Thread: Cairo Caravan???

Does anyone know where Cairo Caravan is going to take place? I know it is the first weekend in June----but the MECDA site doesn't say where it is being done.

Are you referring to the old Cairo Carnivale? It no longer exists.

Cairo Caravan, formerly known as Cairo Carnivale, 2009 will be held June 6 & 7. 2009. More information to come - that's what it says on the Mecda website.

I just got the word that it's going to be on the Queen Mary in Long Beach

thank you, Kalidah----I actually heard from MECDA last week that the contract with the Queen Mary had been signed for June 13/14. Now the wheels that make everything happen at the festival will start. For those who want to know----"Cairo Caravan" is the name for the festival that used to be Cairo Carnivale. Same wonderful Southern California festival with 2 stages, all day entertainment, vendors and workshops. I always see lots of old and new friends there. And perform in front of my peers----Yikes!! but fun also.

Just confirming here... it's June 13/14, 2009 on the Queen Mary in Long Beach! Hope to see lots of bhuzzers there!!!
