Thread: Charity Show & Kids

Someone just wrote me about bringing a 10 year old to a charity show I'm organizing. It's at night, in a bar, I really hadn't considered anyone would want to bring children.

It's about $25 to attend. In my opinion that's a STEAL.

I would not be shocked if the whole place was full (last time I did a show with 4 dancers we went 1 over capacity). We have 8 awesome dancers. Plus a live band.

They want to know if they have to pay the regular price for a kid or not.

I hadn't planned on discounting the rates...what do you think?

fyi - the establishment may not allow youngsters on the premises.
I'd double check and let this person know ahead of time.

We've had children of dancers there before. Last show I was at there were at least two.

You might want to suggest that it may not be an appropriate environment for children since there will be drinking involved and that she (or he) may want to consider using the $25 to hire a sitter for a few hours as you are not in a position to discount tickets. As a parent of 3 children, I would not be offended in the least & the person may be looking for feedback as to whether to bring the child or not.
