business card printers
I've just designed business cards for myself and would like to know where you send yours to get them printed. I'm looking for a company that would give me nice glossy color for the front and the back.
Two places I am considering:
Indigo Ink
I really really love their eco-friendly ways and they do short/small runs, AND they are really well priced ($50 for both front and back color--250 cards) but my hubby just got his cards done there and the glossy wasn't terribly glossy--possibly because they use a dry ink process with soy inks. I just don't think it has the same pop as the wet inks.
The other place is:
Modern Postcard
I have never ordered from here. I think it was recommended by my husband's web hosting company Dog Bark. 250 cards are 78.00 with shipping.
I'm looking at Vista Print and 123 Print but am having a hard time finding out what full color front and back would cost--they keep trying to sell me their own designs.
Any suggestions?

Re: business card printers
I have been using Got Print for a while, and am really happy with the quality, the price, and the turnaround time.

Re: business card printers
I use Moo.com. Shipping is from the UK so it is a little slower than if I used someone in the States, but I love the texture of the cards.

Re: business card printers
I think Vista Print charges an additional $4.95 for using your own designs. Their base price is low, but EVERYTHING is extra and shipping is high. They're still often cheaper than the competition, especially if you sign up for their e-mail list and buy on sale, but it's a PIA to figure out the actual price of everything, you have to go all the way through the order process.
I also like overnightprints.com a lot.

Re: business card printers
I used overnightprints and was very satisfied. We used vistaprint for a work project (post-its) and they turned out AWFUL; the image was distorted and offcenter in nearly half of the pads. So, I wouldn't recommend them.

We really like uprinting.com for professional quality and decent pricing. Right now they have a sale for $34.65 plus shipping for 1000 cards, full color front and back.

I've been using printsmadeeasy.com and have liked them a lot. Double sided glossy color I think runs around $60-70 for 500.

I recommend Moo.com . They have a lot of neat things that you can do, not just business cards. I buy stickers from them on a regular basis. Shipping is a bit slow, but their products are stellar.

Re: business card printers
I second this. I've used overnightprints.com and the cards turned out great. Then I got sucked into the "free" card deal (not so free after photo-uploading, a back side and shipping AND printing fees!). Cards are okay, but I would have rather spent a little more to get better quality. The matte cards had texture and made the coloring of my face look weird.
Overnightprints.com has a really nice shiny smooth finish option, just watch out for fingerprints!Last edited by crystalllized; 02-17-2009 at 03:51 PM. Reason: forgot about the printing fee

Re: business card printers
Another vote for Overnight Prints. I got 1000 double sided, UV Glossy, original design, business cards for about $60. And they ship quick!

Awesome! I think that I might go with overnights prints...they seem to be popular on Tribe as well!
