Thread: Dale Langdon, the photographer

Anyone know that guy? He takes photos of bellydance performances, and he was the photographer at the US Folktours camp last May. He took a bunch of excellent shots of me, offered them to me for $30, got my payment via Paypal, and then promptly became impossible to reach. Both of his email addresses suddenly bounce, and he hasn't yet uploaded my pictures so I can download them and use them. I'm losing patience. And I can't currently call him, for unrelated reasons (I lost my voice completely and have to wait until my cold goes away!). Anyone know alternate ways to reach him? I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I want my pictures.

I have a direct line to Dale and will forward this on to him. If you pm me with your email address, I can give him that too. I'm sure finding out that he's being called out on a public forum will light a fire under his butt!

Dale's an excellent photographer (and Drummer, too!). If he hasn't gotten back to you or has full mailboxes (the probable reason for bouncing e-mail), it likely just means he's on the road somewhere, between seminars or events. :-) I've always found him to be very reliable.

Thanks to Mihri, Dale just sent me the link, and I wrote to thank him, but my email bounced again, as always! Mihri, d'you think you could pass my thanks on to him? I know he's reliable and a nice guy to boot, it's just a technical issue. Here's what I tried to write him:

After I sent the payment, I emailed you and immediately got a bounceback, from both of your addresses. Am I maybe not getting past your spam filter? The bounces kept happening, which is why I went to Bhuz - I figured a 3rd party could get us in touch, since I wasn't having any success. Mercury retrograde, baby. Thanks very much. The pictures are great, by the way - I'm generally pretty hard to photograph. These are the best I have.

Yeah, I was shocked - I'm usually completely terrifying in photos - many chins, blazing red eyes, sweat-plastered hair, gigantic and menacing belly, and clawing hands. I actually look good in his pics! Wonder if he does studio work. He really does rock.

Hi Joy. He's got photos up at SmugMug Photo Sharing. Your photos look better here. and I'm bringing him down to DC for photo shoots later this month. (if you know anyone down here to stay with you could book here. There are a couple spots left).
Anyway- I'll pass on the link to this thread to him. I'm sure he'll be in touch.
