Thread: Google checkout?

I've finally become completely fed up with Paypal. Does anyone use Google Checkout instead? Can you tell me about your experiences with them? How do they compare to Paypal if you've used them both?

Any other checkout suggestions?

I've only used Google checkout to purchase things and it is 100% better than PayPal. Anything is better than PayPal.

Disclaimer: I am obsessed with all things Google.

We used Google Checkout for the Vegas Intensive one year because their introductory special let us use their service without fees for a year (which saved us a bundle). But we are back to paypal because so many people didn't want to be forced to use something they were unfamiliar with. Sigh.

I don't have any complaints about google checkout. It functions more like an actual merchant account...where the money just lands in your account. You don't have to transfer it. Other than that...it's just another option.

You might check out ProPay as well. I haven't used them other than through my Mary Kay business. So I have no idea what that looks like to set up...but it's another option.

Paypal ended up coming through for us at the last minute, so we're still using them for this year. I think we'll survey the folks who come to our event and find out if they'd support a switch to Google Checkout. I'm afraid of them not wanting to sign up for yet another checkout system when paypal is so dominant. They do seem pretty easy to work with though.
