Would you use a contract for a restaurant gig?

Curious. Would love to hear what people think about that.

    Thanks!

I do use a contract & I'm happy to share it with you if you send me your email.
It specifies things like late starts, set lengths, cancellation policy, tips, music, et cetera.
I find it helpful since I do the bookings at 2 restaurants. The restaurant & the dancers sign the contract & are held accountable for honoring them/understanding the terms.

Here's a thread I posted awhile back. It has some good info regarding restaurant contracts.

Psuedo-contract. I don't have a "contract" per se, but I do have documented emails laying out exactly how much we'll be paid, and exactly what we will be paid for (length of sets, etc...), along with the "to" header of who received the email.

This is similar to what I do with restaurant owners who do not like contracts. When we meet I write everything down, explaining that I want to make sure I understand everything correctly. I always read it back to them as a sort of "recap" - so they clearly agree with everything. Then if anything questionable goes on later I can always just say, "gosh, that's not how I remember it. Let me look in my notes so we won't be confused." ..l;,
