Online Merchandising?
My students want to have t-shirts, etc with the studio logo on it and I'd love to provide it, but I'm broke and don't have the money for an initial print. So I've been thinking about using an online source to do some merchandising but the only place that I'm aware of that you can do that is through CafePress. The quality of the items that I've seen from there is atrocious (especially for the cost). The shirts are so thin that you can see straight through them and the fit isn't that great. Plus the imprint isn't always centered (which I find amusing).
So does anyone know of a similar type service that has a better quality product? Worst case scenario I'll rub together a few pennies and buy a small run to seed my second run, but I'd rather not have to overextend myself initially if I can help it. But I can't stand the thought of having my logo on a product that I consider to be sub-par quality.
Any guidance is appreciated!

Re: Online Merchandising?
Secondary question on a related topic...does anywhere know where I could order sports bras with my logo on them? I think they are usually referred to as bra tops or cropped tops. I would love to have a halter style bra top with my logo on it...I've seen places like Jazzercise that sell them, but I can't afford to wholesale on the level that they can which means I can't order from their supplier. If anyone knows of a possible supplier, I would love you forever!

Actually, Cafepress offers at least a dozen different options for shirt quality, including Hanes Beefy-Ts, and the thickness of the fabric is shown graphically when you order.
You also have the choice of putting your art center or over the left pocket and/or on the back of the shirt, either centered or between the shoulders. And, of course, a clever designer can refine the placement by leaving a blank area in the orginal design.
So if you buy a thin shirt with a centered logo from them, it's because that's what you chose.
I haven't worked with Zazzle.com but I know they're another option.

I'm going to have to take another look at Cafepress then...I didn't know you could pick the type of shirt! It seems a lot of the stores that I've seen things from must have chosen the cheapy thin shirts. I'm definitely going to give them another closer look cause if I can go with Hanes Beefy tees and such than I'm definitely on board with that!
I actually ordered a shirt from a cafepress store once...the shirt arrived with the artwork printed slightly crooked. I had ordered two of the same shirt (one for my troupemate) and her's was straight. I was a bit put off by that. But, things happen, and that was a few years ago now.
Gonna check out zazzle.com too.
Thanks so much!

PS Don't use Branders.com. They are hounds and they will call you every single day until you buy something. Way too pushy....
