Thread: Graphic Design/Business Cards- check mine out!

I had to post this. I just had a friend of mine revamp my business cards and they look AWESOME! even better is that she is a perfectionist when it comes to photoshop for flattery etc.

Maybe it is because of my home laptop (it has stopped loving me), but I can't see the pics on the Photobucket links either ..cr.:

Love the font on the front. The image on the back is lovely, but is there a reason you are kneeling? At first I thought your torso was just cut off, but then I saw you were kneeling on a pile of veils. Is that what I am seeing?

I would probably zoom in on that image, so it doesn't look like you're kneeling, and the veils on either side of you are framing your body, as if floating in air beside you (so your hands aren't showing to be moving them).

The thing that Amartia forgot to mention about the cards, is that they were done by a fellow bellydancer, a student of sorts of hers. :) She also did the flyer for the Pirate Parlay, as well as the tickets, the receipts, and advertising order forms. She also took and touched up our troupe picture.

I would love to post the work but apparently I am an idiot and can't figure out how to post the pictures directly in the thread. Someone want to give me some guidance on how to do it?

thanks guys. this is just one of the designs she sent me. i gave her a bunch of pics and she gave me back about 20 different options. black and white, fonts, colors, edging, you name it!

I love the colour scheme of the veils/costume against a dark background. It is very impressive!
But got to agree on the zooming in bit, or maybe get a version where it is more obvious at a first glance you're kneeling.

I poked back in to see if a little time made me think differently about the current versions, and I have to say...the kneeling kinda...implies...something...you don't want to be associated with...Get my meaning?

thank you for all of your comments ladies. I had my reasons for choosing the designs that i did. I posted it more to drum up business for my designer and give dancers another option that to muddle through photoshop on their own.
