Getting people to advertise on your site

To help cut costs and to allow vendors to advertise on my site (I think I'm pretty much the online resource for all things BD in two states) for $15 a year.

Any suggestions on how to ramp up the ads? Anyone else do this?

Re: Getting people to advertise on your site

Advertisers want eyeballs, so it's good to have an idea of how many visitors (and/or page views) you get on a daily/monthly basis. You might want to create the actual ad spaces and/or do a mock-up of what it will look like so you can show them.

Or you could just use a service that does it for you. Google Ads and Yahoo both do, I think.
