dance tops with logo
i'm trying to find some dance tops for my students, that we can have the dance school name printed on, and not just promotional t-shirts, bt actually some nice tops that can be worn for dance performances (student shows) and that look like dance wear, not oversized tshirts
anyone got any leads,
also, did you set up a webshop for students to order them individually, or did you order/buy them in bulk etc
i'm just wondering how to start handling this.
right now the RAKS-team (me, razia, khalida) have a small fanstuff shop
Fanshirts!
but i just think that for t-shirts on masse for the students this isnt really the way too go (for one spreadshirt makes all of the profit from this, and it's not that cheap)
i wouldnt mind ordering like a 100 and stocking them in my attick till they got sold, but all the local 'print your own tshirt' shops just have horrid tshirts they print on

Re: dance tops with logo
I work for a University and I know most places will allow you to create an account with them, load your logo and order as you need things. I was actually doing some research on this with cafepress a while ago, but had some other things come up. I know cafepress has tanks that would work for dancing. My brother is an artist and I'm having him work up a logo for me, so I'd love to see if anyone else has anyone beyond the obvious ones they suggest?

I've had a lot of luck with Custom T-Shirts, Shirts & Tees | Spreadshirt. I just wish they would offer to print on sports bras.

Re: dance tops with logo
what about iron-on the prints ourselves? get the tops plain black, print the logo out on some of that special paper that you then do an ironing transfer onto the shirt.
i just don't know about the quality of those things are, if it would last long or not. also we might have to buy a printer ink cartridge with white ink.
but i think price of top+ sharing price of a block of special paper + sharing price of ink cartridge = not too expensive... and ironing isn't very long to do if we each do it ourselves at home...

Re: dance tops with logo
nah, launder it twice and it dissapears, most of that is really bad quality. that's really only good for wear it once t-shirts you get printed for hennights and stuff
and problem stays the same: finding the tops!

Re: dance tops with logo
at Jennifer's (i think there's one in Leuven, there are 2 here in liege) in summer they generally sell cheap simple tops, like tank tops, in many different colors, for about 5E. last year or the year before (cant remember exactly) they had halterneck tops as well, they were cute. i don't think they have them this year, but there are many small stores that sell 'basic fashion' for cheap, that might have cute cheap tops. not really 'dance' tops, but some could be nice enough..

Re: dance tops with logo
ok this is an idea! we'd have to get cotton tops i think, not sure...
you know the new generation of sewing machines, also do embroidery. you could transfer the logo from computer to sewing machine, and embroider the tops with it.... THAT would be solid, lol.
my mom has a machine like that, but it's brand new she hasn't yet figured everything out... and she's not often here, but i could ask her...

Re: dance tops with logo
Check in with Varsity Sports. They supply cheerleaders and dance teams, so all of their clothing is intended to put a logo on and is all dance/movement friendly. You can even get sports bras, etc with your logo. They have some interesting stuff.
Also, this is the company that I just ordered through:
Promotional Products | ePromoWorld | Screenprinted and Embroidered Apparel & Many More Promotional Products
If you buzz them and let them know what you are looking for, they are very helpful. They did all of my studio shirts (turquoise spaghetti strap tanks with my studio logo in black) and they also handle all the shirts, etc for the Louisiana Renaissance Festival. And they were pleasant to deal with. I'm getting ready to try to do some crop tops and/or sports bras through them.

I went to a local t shirt printing store. I talked with them and the shirts I ordered were very nice indeed! Not oversized but fitted v neck shirts. I would advise going into a local store and asking to look at what they can order for you!

Re: dance tops with logo
i might be mistaken, but i think there's one in Leuven, along the road that goes out in front of the train station, before reaching that plaza with the block pavement where there are a bunch of old neat buildings (churches?). i'd even say it's on the right side of the road when coming from the station to the churches lol, but it's been a while since i went down that road so things may have changed ^^
i'll have a look at the shopping center near my house see what's available.
do you want me to ask my mom about the embroidering? i think she's planning to come to belgium in about 2 weeks so she could do it then if she's ok with it (she probably will be)

I love CustomizedGirl - Customized and Personalized T-shirts and have ordered from there many times. They have different styles of tank tops and the Bella T-shirts have a more feminine styling (they hold up well too!) You can upload your own images, they do rhinestone lettering, etc.

I second Customized Girl! I made tops for my Alumni Dance Team with our university's logo on them for an alumni performance we had, and they came out great!

Re: dance tops with logo
I don't know if they will have tops that you are looking for but I had good success with Zazzle.com. The product was good and the shipping was super fast. They do large quantities and the site saves your design if you want to order more later.
ETA: I just noticed that you are international so I don't know how that effects shipping.
