Thread: Picture file used for biz cards?

I'm having a devil of a time with using tif files for print. Long story, an abbreviated version with me asking for help is in the technical forum.

Posting here because since most use the online biz card sites. I'd like to know if any of you use jpg files through overnightprints dot com and if they turned out normal or if the colors really did come out out wonky like they warn it might?

i used a 300dpi .jpg in cmyk format with vistaprint.com and it was fine

I've never had a problem uploading TIFs to Overnight prints. However, I have the full Adobe Suite and I follow OP file instructions exactly. Did KDizzle give you a high resolution PDF? Those work well. I would not try to upload JPG on OP.

Andalee- Good idea. I will send her some high res pdfs versions of the files as well. I've never encountered this issue before.

I can upload the TIF, it's that my computer seems to be not reading it correctly or putting a hex on it or something - I keep coming out with purply-gray skin. We're both scratching our heads on this one & Kizzie's working her tail off trying to help me, which I really appreciate because I was soo upset yesterday when I opened the box of 250 cards I got to find I look like night of the living lavender dead & crazy/wrong costume colors.

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had luck using plain ol jpg on either the value (digital press) or premium (offset press) cards with overnightprints. I went with OP because they have a font I like that vistaprint doesn't have.
