    Need some creative rental ideas

Ok - so the place I used to use for teaching private sessions took away my space. They expanded and no longer have room available.

The studio I use as a back up is closed for the summer - they did not get enough people interested in classes so they are closed until September.

I contacted a few other dance centers but all are either on summer leave or not responding.

So - my question to you is - do you have any creative ideas on where to hold private sessions?

All the gyms here require membership - not an option. My community center is trying to push paperwork through so I can rent there but - it has already been a month and still no progress.

Home teaching is not an option.

    Help - creative ideas!!.w.:.w.:

Church hall space, community college, local high school gym. A club from 7-8 before their stuff gets going.

Great ideas but most of the options do not have mirrors. I teach a lot from mirrors so they are an important piece.

    Thanks for the suggestions though!

One of my teachers brought her own mirrors to the space we used. We stored then there and set them up and tool them down every week. She used several mirrored closet doors which she got cheap via Craigslist.

    It's a thought.

More and more I see physical therapy places offering yoga and pilates classes, there are two near me that I can see at least one mirrored wall from the street...also check private studios that offer personal training.

Re mirrors - if you find a good space you'd like to use frequently but that has no mirrors, you might be able to persuade the owners to split the cost of putting some up. I did this at one of my venues, which I hire each week. We agreed to pay 50% each. If I discontinued hiring within a year they would pay me out for my share. When I stop hiring the mirrors will remain there and be their property. It worked out great, as I'm still there many years later. PS - this was at a university, in their drama studio.
