Thread: PartyPop vs. Gigmasters

Who's used both? How do they compare? Is one clearly a better source of referrals, or more cost effective, than the other?

I use both. I get more requests from party pop. However, these are the cold calls I complain about that usually shop around for cheaper!

I've gotten lots of leads from them, a few went through, so I paid for both my costs at least.

I just signe up for Gigmasters and have already booked three jobs through them. However, I think that is because there are only 4 other bellydancers listed on there for NY, whereas PartyPop has TONS....

I don't like the fact that you have to "bid" for your job on Gigmasters, but I do like that that gives you an opportunity to "sell yourself" which is how I've gotten all three of my jobs.
