Just a quick question...
I make handmade jewelry and other things that I think belly dancers would be interested in. I have been dancing for a short time myself. My question is....how could I get my products and services out to other dancers. I do things such as handflowers (slave bracelets), anklets, bracelets, coin jewelry, coin bras, veil poi and veil fans.....Would I be able to set up a booth at a hafla or would there be better ways to do this. I have a myspace page....its a start. I thank you in advance for your advice.

Re: Just a quick question...
i would do facebook too but use it for only business purposes. i know some egyptian shops do this. set up a retail store here on bhuz. it's a great community.
try to get to as many haflas as possible even if you don't make many sales, you will be getting your name and product out there.
also, you can get inexpensive postcards that advertise your products and hand these out at any of the events you attend.
good luck

Re: Just a quick question...
Haflas are a great idea - just check with the organizer first, as someone might already have a vendor or vendors.
If you're doing a website I think something like etsy.com might work well since people go there specifically for that kind of thing.
And hey... let's see your stuff!

Re: Just a quick question...
build a website. This will allow you to really reach out to people. Then use myspace and facebook as an advertising tool. Godaddy has cheap web hosting plans.

I want to see more! I love jewelry.
I lost so much of it when I moved, so I am rebuilding.
Keep us posted!
