How do you know if your website is tagged enough

Once you've built your site and you optimize it, how do you know if you've used ENOUGH keywords (tags) to put it to the first page or at least the second page of a search engine?

Re: How do you know if your website is tagged enough

It's not about how many meta tags you use, it's about how relevant they are to the search and your page. It's like a complicated equation.

Meta Tags Generator Meta Tag Creator

I just analyzed my site and these are my results:

    Title: Title contains no errors.
    This tag contains 60 characters.
Title relevancy to page content is good.
The Title relevancy to page content is 78%.
Description: Description meta tag contains no errors.
    This tag contains 98 characters.
Description meta tag relevancy to page content is very good.
The Description meta tag relevancy to page content is 94%.
Keywords: Keywords meta tag contains too many keywords.
This tag contains 32 keywords. This is too many for what we would consider a 'robot friendly' keywords tag. The maximum number of keywords we recommend for this tag is 20.
Keywords meta tag relevancy to page content is very poor.
The keywords meta tag relevancy to page content is 28%.
Robots: The Robots meta tag contains no errors.
    This tag contains 12 characters.

I should cull down my list of keywords.
Here's the tool I used: Meta Tag Analyzer

I don't know how much detail you want in an answer, or how much HTML coding you're already familiar with.

But here's a nice breakdown, and this site has the complete HTML tutorial in case this raises more questions than it answers!

Make sure that your keyword phrases are more places than just your tags. Good content is King. Quality inbound links are important as well.

Hubby has made a website for his sock monkeys and we don't know how to "get it out there" so to say.

What is is site? I'll take a look and see if I can think of any other suggestions. The search engines aren't only one way people find you. Getting into directory sites can help. Posting in forums can help Etc. Etc.

Re: How do you know if your website is tagged enough

well I was hesitant posting it here b/c I'm not sure if it's against Bhuz rules. I would like to have feed back for him since both of us really don't have a clue what we're doing.

Meta tag told us the description isn't very good. We've used the same words in the title, description and about the site page. HMMMMM......
