    Spin Off: Feedback on my terms for an upcoming event please!!

    With all the posts lately about Workshop Refunds and Problem Clients, I'm putting a little more thought into my Terms and Conditions for an upcoming event I'm planning. I would love some feedback from the bhuz community -- do you think this will cover me??

    Some background:
    I'm bringing Michael Baxter to Boston (!!) for a photo shoot this fall. In addition to the shoot, I'm also putting on surrounding events: a workshop on how to prepare for a photo shoot (covers make up, posing, working with a photographer, etc), and a show. Obviously, shoot slots are very limited so it's important that people realize this is a first come, first serve, pay in full in advance, no refund kind of event. Here's what I've drafted. Does this cya?? [fyi, Total Package bookings refers to discounted price for shoot and workshop]

    Terms and Conditions
    Important, Please Read!!

    Because Michael is in town for one weekend only, space is extremely limited. By registering, you agree to the following terms:
    • Bookings for the Photo Shoot are made ONLY upon receipt of payment in full and are on a first come, first serve basis. Bookings for the Photo Prep Workshop and the Gala Show are available either in advance or at the door.
    • All pre-paid bookings, including workshop and show tickets, are NON-REFUNDABLE.
    • Confirmation of Photo Shoot bookings, including time slot and other important information, will be sent to you within one week of receipt. Please enclose a SASE to expedite confirmation.
    • If your payment is received after the event sells out, you will be contacted and asked if you wish to be put on the Wait List. If you agree to be waitlisted, you agree to allow us to hold your payment until event day in the case we are able to grant you a spot. Your payment will be refunded in full if we are unable to grant you a time slot or if you chose to be taken off the Wait List.
    • If you wish to cancel your Photo Shoot booking, we will make every effort to sell your slot to someone on the Wait List for a $10 administration/cancellation fee. If we are successfully able to fill your spot, you will be refunded the amount paid, minus the $10 fee. This applies to Photo Shoot and Total Package bookings only!

    In the line "All pre-paid bookings, including workshop and show tickets, are NON-REFUNDABLE. " I would include the photo shoot:

    "All pre-paid bookings, including Photo Shoot, workshop and show tickets, are NON-REFUNDABLE. "

    And, if possible, make all registrants sign a form saying they agree with all the terms.
