Thread: Anyone else getting a lot of performance inquiries all of a sudden?

I've had more inquiries in the last week than I've had in the last two years put together.

The inquiries are spread pretty evenly by source -- some from my car magnets, some from Gigmasters, some from Decidio, some just googled me. I don't think it's anything I've done, and I can't figure it out!

Is this happening to anyone else? Was there a bellydancer on TV at a party recently or something?

We just ran a new ad for classes - we took a summer sabbatical - and we are getting good response.

Perhaps the economy is turning around a bit.

I had a really big increase early in the year, and this summer has been steady. But things have really been slow for the last few weeks. Hopefully it'll pick up again soon!

I have to say, business has been pretty darned good for me this summer. I'm actually booking multiple gigs in one evening these days, which was unheard of for me until this summer.

Probably has something to do with my new website, or maybe the economy's turning around. But whatever's going on, I can't complain! ..g.:

Yes. We'd like to think it is due to better marketing and reputation. But maybe we are still cheaper than clowns, so folks looking for cheaper entertainment call :) Lauren, you are right about the impact of public media : any time ANY belly dancer gets media coverage in this town, business increases for us.

Not more volume, but I have been getting more interesting calls lately.

Yes, along with my increase in volumes I'm getting weirder ones.

My son thinks it's the car magnets. He says every time I leave him sitting in the car somewhere he sees people reading my car doors and even jotting down the phone number. Good investment!
