Thread: How to get a bellydancer to your city

So what if you are just a bellydance layperson wanting to invite a dancer to your city? Can someone lead me through the steps??
Get in touch with a studio? get in touch with the dancer after??
then what?
Is this even possible??

do you want to host a workshop with the dancer? If you do, it might be good to make sure beforehand that you have enough connections in the bellydance world to sell tickets to the hafla/workshop.

You can contact the dancer yourself, but have a contract and term ready or open for discussion, possiblelocation, date, etc. In short, be professional!

Unless the other dancer is a friend who you want to invite over to check out a hafla in your city in an informale way.

I would contact the dancer by e-mail and tell him/her that you would love to have him/her over for a workshop or show on a specific date and just ask if (s)he is available and what his/her price and conditions are.
