credit card merchant services..any cheaper than paypal?
Probably not but thought I'd ask if anyone knows of credit card and payment merchant services that are just as easy to use and perhaps cheaper than paypal.
Someone is getting rich on paypal.
The ebay fees are even worse. I guess i avoid looking at them because it makes me sick.
merchants?

Jes, I know how you feel -- I guess we all do -- but at least it's safe (I've never had a bad transaction with a dancer or musician, but my boyfriend takes credit cards including Amexco which should be OK with ID and he's had a few really bad surprises lately -- some expensive items -- "no such account," "declined," even with plenty of ID....I wish he could use PayPal, but it's impossible when he's "out there" with no computer....and tourists and local office employees downtown are his main customers, so they don't even have PayPal accounts--wish they did. It's too expensive to have one of those portable ATM/credit card machine thingies.
PS -- Hey, you should pack up a few boxloads of veils and vend at Carnival of Stars in Hayward in November -- Pepper's event is FUN -- she combines it with comic book stars, it's a riot.....costume contest, prizes -- and no one is selling veils at least that I know of......good lineup of dancers, too. (two day event) ghawazee dot com if you're interested Hugs, Tanya

I use DialPay with TransFirst. It's much cheaper than taking PayPal, and I haven't had any problems. I use the old fashioned "knucklebuster" method, and call my transactions in over the phone when I get home from the event.

While I've got him on the phone...East Commerce Solutions
www dot EASTCOMMERCESOLUTIONS dot com
He says they're not the cheapest, but they have good customer service. They're like a clearing house for card services, getting a portion of your subscription fee per month, not a %.
Hope it helps.
