Re: How would you price out this gig?
This sounds like fun to me! I would assume that the lady thinks that you charge $10/hour and the girls will pick it up in 2 hours.
I hope it works out for you.
I would charge it as as many private group lessons as it took, plus the choreography ($100/minute) and then my time at the party.
My private group lessons would be $10/student for at least 5 students.

Re: How would you price out this gig?
This is what I would've done.
I privately tutored ($20/hour) a kid who wanted to do a bellydance number for her pageant talent. She had show choir experience and picked this up in 2 hours, but we drilled hard for that 2 hours. I didn't make a lot of $$$ because she caught on to it quickly, but that's my point: those teens may surprise you with what they can do and how focused they'll be. She's not exactly ready for bellydance competitions, but she's winning her pageants and that's all she wanted.

Re: How would you price out this gig?
I've been approached by someone wanting me to teach their daughter for her quinceanera...they wanted her to come out belly dancing in front of all of her family, half from Mexico who hadn't seen her since she was 4 or so....it turned out pretty well, actually. I did months of weekly private lessons with her, she bought her own costume, she performed 3 choreos (2 with me and my sister, 1 on her own) and it was fab! Since it was such an important event they were willing to pay more (like buy her a pro costume!)....but I also took risks in the beginning like letting her borrow a veil to practice with and letting her use my sword for the performance. IN the end I'm happy with how everything turned out....I think it just depends on how much time you will put in to teaching these girls and how serious they are about learning it. Good luck!

Re: How would you price out this gig?
My idea is to price it as if it were a workshop. You are teaching technique and a choreography to a group. Charge a fee for each dancer to attend (or figure the total for all the girls and charge that).
