Thread: How much are you charging for mileage?

I don't know what the current rate is any more.

Do you charge only for the mileage beyond a certain radius? So if you were traveling 100 miles, how many of those would you charge for?

I tack on the IRS rate past 50 miles or so, since I often have to drive a fair distance to get to my gigs (even in the tiny state I'm living in!)

I think it's 46 cents now? Not sure...

IRS Announces 2010 Standard Mileage Rates

I use IRS rates. When I charge mileage I charge RT from my house.

I work for the state of Texas and they pay $.50 cents per mile.

I work for the state of Georgia, and our mileage fluctuates every few month based on gas prices. Through the end of December is was 55 cents per mile. The new rate for January is 50 cents per mile. But overall, for BD purposes, I'd probably stick with the federal IRS rate.
